About DALROD

Since 1985 DALROD have been providing cost-effective and competitive solutions to drainage issues. Our depots across East Anglia, the Midlands and the North East of England, along with our various service centres, are strategically placed in order for us to confidently provide a genuine 24 hour service to the whole of the UK.

By constantly growing and expanding in order to always meet the needs of our customers we have developed into a professional and well-established company, widely recognised for consistently providing a quality service at the most competitive price.

Our growing team of knowledgeable and highly trained engineers are fully armed with the skills and knowledge which enable us to tackle any drainage issue in the shortest time possible.

History of DALROD

1985

This was the year it all started. DALROD's original founder, Walter Lane, recognised a niche in the drain cleaning industry and together with his wife Margaret opened the first DALROD office, running straight from the family home in Peterborough.

This concept of a professionally run family business is still a huge and important factor contributing to the day to day running of DALROD. Friendly and knowledgeable operations personnel, highly skilled engineers and a management team with extensive industry knowledge all join together to deliver a highly committed level of service seldom seen in the drainage industry.

1987

By 1987 Walters' son Dave Lane and his wife Jo Lane joined the company, each working their way up through all roles in both the office and out on site, right through to present day, as company directors.

2000

To mark the new millennium, DALROD opened it current head office in the centre of Peterborough, large enough to accommodate its ever growing fleet of vans, tankers and CCTV Drain Survey units. The positioning of our head office also allowed us to offer a genuine 24 hour service to a wide range of areas around East Anglia.

2001

This vast regional coverage was expanded even further with the opening of the first DALROD franchise in 2001. This large depot in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire now covers everywhere in the Cambridgeshire county, as well as the Ipswich and Norfolk areas.

2007

In 2007, DALRODs' Regional Manager Del Guiton joined the company, and in doing so contributed to the opening of another drainage franchise covering the Nottinghamshire area. This meant that by 2007, DALROD as a company was offering a 24 hour service for both commercial and domestic customers throughout a vast majority of the UK.

2010 — Present Day

To mark its 25th anniversary in 2010, DALROD opened a North East depot based in the Newcastle area. This office now offers our 24 hour service to customers in Alnwick, down to Darlington, as well as many of the surrounding areas.

This year we also expanded our already extensive range of services to include Pump Maintenance and Pump Stations. Meaning that we are now able to offer a solution to an even wider range of situations.

In 25 years, DALROD has grown from a small family business, into a professional company well renowned and widely recognised within the drainage industry, expanding constantly whilst still maintaining the friendly family values it was built upon.
