Cracks in pipes and displaced joints eventually cause structural problems leading to blockage or collapse. As an established alternative to excavation and repair, our Sewer Renovation Division are able to undertake rehabilitation works in-situ on pipe sizes up to 1200mm diameter utilising Water Authority approved systems and materials (larger diameters available subject to survey and quotation).
DALROD offer various types of pipework rehabilitation depending on the situation, from full re-lining, with pipe re-rounding where necessary, to patch repairs for smaller problems. In addition, DALROD have recently introduced the Browliner® environmentally friendly re-lining system for working on sensitive projects.
Full re-lining service
A flexible liner impregnated with resin is pushed or pulled into the drain. Once in place, an air bag is blown through and inflated to shape the liner to the size of the drain. The liner is hot cured and and will mould to the sides of the original pipe. When the resin has hardened the air bag is removed leaving a smooth new pipe within the old existing pipe.

Pipe re-rounding service
DALROD offer a pipe re-rounding service to pitch fibre drains together with hydraulic pipe bursting and directional drilling. A lead bullet is pulled through the collapsed drain which re-opens the pipe allowing the liner to be put in place. When the liner has cured, the result is a drain once again in perfect working order.
Localised patch repair service
Typically used in areas where traditional excavation is difficult or with awkward access, localised patch repairs are a fast, cost efficient method of rehabilitating blistered pitch fibre or crushed pipework in diameters of 100 to 450 and to a length of usually 1 metre. Remedial work can include re-forming the pipe if necessary and then installing the patch liner.
