DALROD recently carried out a job at a large production plant in North Tyneside. The plant is closing down and relocating and the company wanted to be sure that the building was not going to flood whilst it was un-manned. DALROD were asked to carry out the high-pressure water jetting of the external rain water down pipes that drain from the roof.
Whilst doing this DALROD also determined that one of the main surface water manhole chambers had become infested with both tap & mass roots. To enable the down pipes to flow effectively the underground pipes to and from this manhole had to be unobstructed by removing the roots. We used our Vactor tanker jetter, in conjunction with rotary root cutting equipment, to successfully remove tap roots in excess of 7 metres long. This restored the system back to full capacity giving the company’s management team peace of mind for fast approaching winter weather.
