Lincoln prevention and pre-planned maintenance case study
Find out how regular routine inspection of an Oxfordshire restaurant’s drainage system led to the discovery of a potential major plumbing issue.
Why is prevention and pre-planned maintenance required?
Any facility dealing with food production is likely to suffer from aggressive build-ups of fats, oils and grease (FOG) and associated waste, so it’s important to regularly maintain the drainage system. We were called out by this customer citing a blockage in the system. This was traced to the non-return valves, which were being obstructed by food waste caused by container lids being washed down the drains.
What Dalrod Lincoln carried out
In order to return the drains to their original free-flowing capacity, the non-return valves were removed and thoroughly cleaned. Once these were reinstated, the drains were back to full working order.
