DALROD COMMENCE WORKS AROUND BUSY FILMING SCHEDULES

DALROD “This Morning” was on standby to commence work on the drain lines of the Television Studios as soon as presenters Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby went off air from presenting the nations favourite daytime chat show.

DALROD were called in to jet and empty the chambers of the drain work, that goes underneath the famous studios in the centre of London. With the drainage system being so close to the studios, it was imperative to jet the system when the cameras had stopped rolling to prevent the sound being heard by the viewers at home.

Engineers were also busy carrying out a CCTV footage of the lines, whilst star spotting as celebrities arrived and departed after their scheduled filming.

The professional team executed this contract with precision, meeting all the special requirements set by the Television Studios.

DALROD MAKE LOUIS NIGHT

Last Sunday evening, DALROD Head Office invited Serpentine Green Shopping Centre to an evening of Ice Hockey, and what a game it was. With fans packed to the rafters it was a real spectacle of a game

The Peterborough DALROD Phantoms took to the ice in a crucial league fixture, against fellow title contenders Basingstoke Bison. Guest of honour was Serpentine Green’s Operations Manager, and his guests little Loui King and his family.

Loui was born 10 weeks prematurely, weighing only just over 2lb. The early days were touch and go with little Loui nearly dying when he was a few days old. Loui was born with Downs Syndrome and a Ventricular Septal Defect in his heart (a hole). He also has poor circulation, hyper-thryoidism and many, many other medical problems that would certainly hold a less courageous boy back.

Loui has made it his mission to prove the doctors and medical profession wrong, in going out and accomplishing many activities that you and I would find hard, let a lone a little boy with such complex medical problems. But Loui is doing it, and last Sunday we made the smile on Loui and his families face rise again.

Here are a few words from Loui’s family after his incredible night at the Phantoms ice Hockey

“Another one of those nights where people show extraordinary kindness to Louis, knowing that in all apart from gratitude, Louis could never possibly repay them their kindness.

Our first Ice Hockey match, Peterborough Phantoms vs Basingstoke Bison. Louis was very, very excited about this. On arrival we were shown to literally the best corporate hospitality box in the entire arena. I can’t really describe how good Louis’ view was. Imagine having a better view than the actual coaches of the teams? Yep. That. Louis sat, glued to the action for the full match.

Massive, massive thanks from all of us must go to Peterborough Phantoms staff. Also, to DALROD for hosting us in their rather splendid corporate box”

For the full post, which describes Loui’s time as DALROD’s special guest, please see the following link.

Thank you Steve from Serpentine Green for introducing us to this inspirational little boy and his wonderful family, I think we have some new hockey fans.

ANOTHER PRAISE OF EXCELLENT SERVICE FOR DALROD CAMBRIDGESHIRE

It’s always pleasing to hear of the fantastic work, our engineers and office staff do, which does occur on a daily basis. But not everyone spends the time to write an email of thanks, and show how important our work is to them.

DALROD Cambridgeshire has recently received a wonderful email thanking one of our engineers Kevin, for coming to the rescue in treacherous conditions. Kevin’s attitude and commitment is a sentiment to our company and echoes throughout our entire workforce.

Here is what our happy customer had to say about Kevin, from our DALROD Cambridgeshire service area-

“I would just like to record my thanks to the team at Dal-rod for the excellent service they provided to unblock the drain at my elderly father-in-law’s bungalow last night. Despite the long journey to get here in Norfolk, Kevin arrived after a 2.5 hour journey through worsening weather and completed the job within an hour. He was a real life saver. Many thanks to him and the rest of the team for a brilliant Service.”

Well done Kevin of DALROD Cambridgeshire and to all our staff throughout the company that do tremendous work.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR LITTLE MIRACLES

After the atrocity of vandalism, to the Lottery Funded charity Little Miracles in Peterborough, DALROD were only too happy to lend a hand, a long with many other businesses throughout the city.

The charity who became famously supported by Nick Knowles and the BBC’s Big Build, come under attack from vandalism earlier this month. The centre’s garden and play area was damaged by an explosion of fireworks and paint, as well as stolen items and damage created to the shed and fencing. The charity support many families within the local area, who have children with severe illnesses and disabilities, giving this a place of respite and retreat.

The Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce were quick to act, and gave a plea for businesses of Peterborough, to come to the Little Miracles aid on their social media.

With no hesitation DALROD Peterborough contacted the Little Miracles head quarters “The Spinney” to see how we could help.

Last Monday the guys from DALROD Peterborough attended the centre and completed the clean operation with the help of our powerful jetters, removing the paint from the pathways and play equipment.

As much as this is an extremely sad situation for the Little Miracles Centre, it has reconfirmed what a great business community we are apart of, Well Done to all.
