At DALROD, community has always mattered to us. Not just the work we do, but the people around us.
This Christmas, our head office team is proud to be supporting The Light Project in Peterborough. A local organisation doing vital, life changing work for adults experiencing homelessness.
Working Together to Make a Difference
Over the past few weeks, DALROD has gathered together a donation of clothing including over 30 pairs of jogging bottoms, socks and warm weather essentials to support people in need. These items may seem small (and are often overlooked) but they make a huge difference.
Warm clothing and everyday personal items help protect health, comfort, and dignity, especially during the colder months.
Our staff have also stepped up in the best possible way, with team members donating some of their own items. The team have also been collecting and purchasing further essentials which will ensure support reaches as many people as possible.
Why This Matters at Christmas
Winter is one of the hardest times of year for people experiencing homelessness. Cold weather increases health risks significantly and the need for emergency accommodation massively outweighs the availability of small charities to offer enough space to meet demand.
Christmas can also be incredibly isolating. While many people gather with family, others are left feeling forgotten.
That’s why charities like The Light Project are so important.

The Light Project supports adults experiencing homelessness in Peterborough. They provide practical help, emotional support, and most importantly, hope.
Their work includes housing support, wellbeing services and access to essential resources. They help people rebuild stability and regain independence.
Every donation helps them continue this vital work, especially at such a critical time of year.
More Than a Donation
This isn’t just boxes of clothing. This was a team effort of generosity, empathy and people looking out for other people.
