DALROD North East Rallies Behind Local Young Hero in a Push for a Great Cause

At DALROD, community spirit is at the heart of our work. This month that spirit is brighter than ever.

Alfie Wealleans, the 14 year old son of Darren from DALROD North East, is undertaking a formidable and inspiring challenge, completing 3,000 push-ups in June, all in support of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Alfie isn’t your average teenager; As a dedicated Lance Corporal in the Army Cadets and a part-time football referee, he embodies discipline, leadership and determination.

He was inspired to take on the challenge after seeing one of his close friend’s personal battle with cancer and hopes that raising funds for the charity can improve the lives of many more teenagers and young people living with a diagnosis.

His goal is to raise £1,000 by the end of June, and he’s already over halfway there!

When he isn’t busy conquering his push-up challenge, Alfie also helps his dad by spending his weekends cleaning vans and tankers. His tireless effort and positive attitude are a shining example of the values we hold dear at DALROD.

We invite you to join us in cheering Alfie on throughout his impressive challenge and supporting such a noble cause. Every contribution counts in the fight against cancer.
