DALROD Team Members Take on 10K Challenge to Support Local Community

Two members of the DALROD team joined runners from the Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Community Programme (SWFCCP) for the Sheffield 10K on Sunday, 27th September 2026, helping raise vital funds for the local community.

Sales, Contract & Customer Relations Manager, Jana Cecotkova and Director, Kim Lane took on the challenge as part of a team of 18 runners, all coming together to support the programme and the work it delivers across Sheffield.

The team raised an impressive £3,000, which will help fund the programme’s ongoing activities and initiatives.

Supporting Communities Across Sheffield

Established in 2005, the Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Community Programme works with people of all ages and backgrounds across the city.

Its initiatives focus on improving health and wellbeing, supporting young people, and creating opportunities through education and employment. The programme also brings people together, helping to build stronger, more connected communities.

Fundraising events such as the Sheffield 10K play an important role in supporting this work. The money raised helps the programme continue delivering activities that make a positive difference to people across Sheffield.

Beyond the activities themselves, the programme helps people build confidence, develop new skills and stay connected to their local community. By creating opportunities for people who might otherwise face barriers to participation, SWFCCP helps individuals reach their potential and build brighter futures. Its work demonstrates how sport and community initiatives can have a lasting impact, something that DALROD is also passionate about. Find out more about the work SWFCCP does here.
