On Saturday 14th June 2025, Andrea from DALROD Nottingham laced up her boots and took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge as part of the Hiking Heroes team, raising funds in support of Compton Care and the Wolves Foundation.
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge involves scaling Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, a grueling 24-mile route with over 5,000 ft of ascent. It is known for being as physically demanding as it is rewarding. For Andrea, the experience was a true test of endurance, grit and determination.
The Hiking Heroes initiative has already raised a phenomenal £12,790. This total could help fund over 200 counselling sessions for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses and bereavement. It’s a powerful example of how community driven action can make a real and lasting impact.
To support Andrea and the fundraising team, DALROD has proudly donated £100. Community spirit and family values have always been at the heart of our business, and employee-led initiatives like this are something we’re always eager to support and promote.
From everyone at DALROD, a huge well done to Andrea for her incredible achievement and for helping raise vital funds for such important charities!
