DALROD Manchester have just achieved their first milestone anniversary!

It was only a year ago that the new DALROD service centre went live in the North of the country. The newly formed team set about launching this local business offering a full range of drainage solutions to both domestic and commercial markets.

There is always a challenge when starting a new business and by beginning at the start of the year DALROD Manchester were able to make their mark in the local area really fast. Their set up has worked perfectly for them as they have a balance between the engineers on the road and Managing Director Jill Brierley being based in the office. This has helped the business grow quickly within Manchester and the surrounding areas.

Every new business experiences challenges, particularly within the first year of trading,  however, the dedication from the team and the drive to succeed have ensured that DALROD Manchester has gone from strength to strength in a short space of time.

Getting started!

Building up a strong customer base and getting some regular pre-planned maintenance contracts in place is key for any drainage business. Jill made this her mission from the word go and the customers have a great relationship with her. In addition to this the team are a 24/7 operation and are always available to deal with emergencies as and when they happen!

“It has been a really fast moving year for us,” said Jill. “We have all worked exceptionally hard to get the business off the ground. One of the things that sets us apart from our competition is our speed of service, we have been able to respond quickly and efficiently to our customers’ needs ensuring they are fully satisfied with our work”.

Support is key.

As a new business starting out, one of the most valuable areas of development comes from the support given by the rest of the company network. Here at DALROD, the service centres are really close and they all support each other whenever possible. This can range from additional manpower on larger scale works, right through to smaller pieces of advice to help with learning on the job!

DALROD Manchester have found this support useful and also encouraging. “Knowing that there are people that I can speak to for advice has helped us to grow in confidence,” said Jill. “The power of the network and the assistance from our colleagues should not be underestimated. Our knowledge levels have increased faster as a result of speaking to them regularly.”

So… what does the future hold for this growing franchise?

Further expansion of the fleet is the next key move for the team. Having more vans on the road will allow DALROD Manchester to continue to service their growing customer base, and with this will come more new recruits to the team. All very exciting plans for 2023!
