A Celebration of Community in the Heart of Peterborough
The sun was shining and community spirit was in full swing as the City of Peterborough Sports Club, proudly sponsored by DALROD, hosted its first annual Summer Community Festival on Saturday 28th June 2026.
Held in partnership with North West Anglia Hospitals Charity, the festival brought together local families, businesses and organisations for an afternoon packed with entertainment, activities and fundraising. With a fantastic turnout throughout the day, the event demonstrated the important role the sports club plays within the Peterborough community.
Music, Food and Family Fun
Visitors enjoyed a wide variety of attractions, including arts and craft stalls, children’s activities, face painting, sports taster sessions, a bouncy castle, and a range of local food vendors. Live entertainment also kept the atmosphere buzzing, with performances from local musicians and the award-winning EAGA Gospel Choir.
As longstanding sponsors of the City of Peterborough Sports Club, DALROD was delighted to support the festival, including sponsoring one of the event’s beers. We’re proud to sponsor the ground and its ongoing mission to provide inclusive facilities and opportunities for the local community through a wide range of different sports offered at the club.
Speaking after the event DALROD Managing Director, Dave Lane, said:
“The Summer Festival perfectly showcased what the sports club is all about – bringing people together, supporting local causes and creating opportunities for families to enjoy quality time together. We are incredibly proud to sponsor the club and to have played a part in such a successful event.”
The festival also showed the close relationship between the sports club and local healthcare organisations, with North West Anglia Hospitals Charity, St John Ambulance and health awareness groups all represented throughout the day. Funds raised will help support valuable charitably initiatives within the local area.
Following another successful year, the Summer Community Festival has once again proven why the City of Peterborough Sports Club remains such a cherished community hub. DALROD looks forward to continuing its support of the club and the fantastic work it does throughout the year.
